The hand-made artist book, Aletheia, presents a series of camera-less lumen prints created between 2015-2019, as a by-product of the ongoing body of work “Transcriptions”. This book functions as a meditation on time and truth, on Art making and the creation of meaning. It questions our accustomed and automatic absorption of information in the modern world by presenting the viewer with quietude and contemplation. It embraces this philosophical notion of truth as openness. Showcasing an artistic output over the course of four years, Aletheia sets forth time, perception, and individual experience embodied by this archive of non-representational photographs. This book asks us to question how we receive the world before us, while gesturing to a horizon beyond time and context.
